About the Role

Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, securities, investment management, and wealth management services. The Institutional Consulting Solutions business drives the product management, sale, and service of Advisor-led workplace offerings for corporate clients, non-profits, endowments, foundations, and government entities. This role focuses on the Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO), which delivers customized investment management services to institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients, specifically within the Nonprofit client segment.

The Vice President will join the OCIO Business Development team, working directly with portfolio managers and Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors/Consultants to drive assets under management (AUM) growth. This position is central to driving new business growth, managing the full sales lifecycle, and building strong relationships with institutional clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business development efforts for Nonprofit clients.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow institutional assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Financial Advisors/Consultants and key stakeholders to support institutional sales for the Nonprofit business.
  • Drive and manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
  • Maintain a library of content for Nonprofit responses.
  • Assist with preparing and organizing marketing materials for meetings and events.
  • Participate in prospect meetings and industry events; stay current on economic and market developments.
  • Ensure the OCIO nonprofit pipeline is well-maintained and up to date.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Result-oriented with a passion for contributing to the firm’s growth.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical evaluation, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with Endowments & Foundations or knowledge of the Nonprofit landscape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 is a plus (candidate will be expected to obtain these licenses within 180 days of hire).

Pay

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short- and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.
