Ocean Import Agent

About the role

The Ocean Import Agent reports to the Branch and Operations Manager and is responsible for monitoring international cargo from origin to its final destination. This role involves interacting daily with service providers and carriers as well as both internal and external vendors to meet requirements and ensuring all deadlines are met to provide outstanding service to Delmar’s clients.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring international cargo from origin to final destination
• Interacting daily with service providers and carriers
• Working with both internal and external vendors
• Maintaining compliance with all deadlines
• Providing outstanding service to Delmar’s clients

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years’ A-Z imports experience in ocean freight operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows based applications
• A college degree in Logistics field is considered an asset
• Experience with Cargowise is considered an asset
