Job Summary and Responsibilities

- Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include exercises, adaptive techniques, and use of assistive devices to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Teach patients and family members about home safety, adaptive equipment, and strategies to manage daily activities effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and modifications to therapy programs for compliance and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Utilize outcome-based measures to assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Collaborate and communicate patient's change in condition with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other home health team members.
Job Requirements
- Associates of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field.
- Active registered OTA license in the state which you practice.
- Must obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification.
- One-year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
- Current Drivers License.
- Comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations.
