Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Reid Home Health in Richmond, IN is available on a PRN basis. This role utilizes NestMed ambient AI technology and offers 8-hour day shifts with mileage reimbursement. There are no after-hour on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to determine therapy needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include exercises, adaptive techniques, and use of assistive devices to improve patients' functional abilities.
• Teach patients and family members about home safety, adaptive equipment, and strategies to manage daily activities effectively.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and modifications to therapy programs for compliance and regulatory standards.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Utilize outcome-based measures to assess the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Collaborate and communicate patient's change in condition with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other home health team members.

Requirements

• Associates of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field.
• Active registered OTA license in the state which you practice.
• Obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification.
• One-year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Current Drivers License.
