About the role

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by providing a variety of delegated therapeutic services, in accordance with licensing and regulations. Under the supervision of the primary Occupational Therapist, the COTA Assistant administers therapeutic treatment and engages and supports the patient in therapeutic activities and exercise regimes. The COTA strives to achieve the goals of the physician's plan of care and to support patients throughout the program.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers therapeutic treatment and engages patients in therapeutic activities and exercise regimes under the supervision of the primary Occupational Therapist.
  • Achieves the goals of the physician's plan of care.
  • Serves as a resource for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Documents patient care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Associate Degree.

Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.
