Occupational Therapy Coordinator
Job Summary
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for assigned patients. Each service area may require specialized skills and/or serve specific age categories, which may include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Treatment is provided in compliance with the Hospital and Therapy Service Policies and Procedures. Supports the Hospital and department at all times, participate in the Therapy Services Department and Hospital’s Performance Improvement efforts. Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving Therapy knowledge and skills. Demonstrates good judgment and the ability to function independently and possess evaluation and decision making skills. Mentors and/or oversees the clinical practice of all department staff. Participates in professional initiatives and staff development. Demonstrates effective critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Bachelors Degree in related field, MS or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Occupational Therapist, or (OTR)
- Occupational Therapist License in the state of TN
- 2 years of clinical experience
