Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN)

About the role

This role supports licensed Occupational Therapists by assisting with patient assessments and implementing individualized treatment plans across all age groups, adhering to departmental standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with initial patient assessments under supervision and according to policies.
• Document patient progress, treatment courses, and ongoing care needs.
• Administer modalities, exercises, and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for billing and departmental review.
• Participate in departmental education initiatives.
• Apply knowledge of behavioral and developmental needs for neonatal to geriatric patients.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure or eligibility as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Preferred one year of experience; open to new graduates.
• Current BLS certification.
