Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN)

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct Occupational Therapy programs under supervision
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing therapy services
• Perform treatment sessions for residents with decreased functions
• Enter billing information accurately and timely
• Report resident progress in meetings and conferences
• Coordinate therapy with the rehabilitation team
• Provide residents with appropriate equipment
• Document therapy activities and resident responses accurately
• Maintain harmonious collaboration with staff to promote resident care

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Licensed in NY State as an OTA in good standing
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
• Ability to work well under pressure and with diverse teams
• Strong desire to work with elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped residents
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
• Respectful, compassionate treatment of residents and staff
