Responsibilities

• Prepares clinical and progress notes
• Participates in teaching the patient and family
• Participates in in-service programs and case conferences
• Follows an evaluation by an Occupational Therapist to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities
• Completes documentation that supports skilled intervention and adherence to plan of care
• Participates positively in training and support of all team members, volunteers, and students as needed
• Attends facility meetings, departmental meetings, in-services, educational programs, and other meetings

Requirements

• Associates Degree, Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Program Graduate, Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
• 1 year Healthcare experience (Preferred)
• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Inc (NBCOT)
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC)
• Valid Drivers License Required to drive for RHS business 25% or more of the time

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care
• Knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span
• Able to assess patients' needs and status by analyzing evaluated data
• Able to interpret information to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly per patient care setting

• Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Pay

Hiring range $38.00 - $42.00/Hourly. Actual pay is determined by program, work commitment and business needs.

Schedule

This position must be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various patient care settings.
