Responsibilities
- Prepares clinical and progress notes
- Participates in teaching the patient and family
- Participates in in-service programs and case conferences
- Follows an evaluation by an Occupational Therapist to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities
- Completes documentation that supports skilled intervention and adherence to plan of care
- Participates positively in training and support of all team members, volunteers, and students as needed
- Attends facility meetings, departmental meetings, in-services, educational programs, and other meetings
Requirements
- Associates Degree, Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Program Graduate, Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- 1 year Healthcare experience (Preferred)
- Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Inc (NBCOT)
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Drivers License Required to drive for RHS business 25% or more of the time
Qualifications
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age, goal, and diagnosis appropriate care
- Knowledge of the principles of growth and development throughout the life span
- Able to assess patients' needs and status by analyzing evaluated data
- Able to interpret information to identify age-specific needs and provide appropriate care accordingly per patient care setting
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and interventions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Pay
Hiring range $38.00 - $42.00/Hourly. Actual pay is determined by program, work commitment and business needs.
Schedule
This position must be flexible with daily scheduling and may be required to work various patient care settings.
