Occupational Therapist (Travel) - OT

About the Role

The Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler provides flexible, nationwide travel for 13-week assignments, delivering occupational therapy services in diverse settings. They develop and implement individualized treatment plans to facilitate patient rehabilitation, focusing on restoring, reinforcing, and enhancing functional skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise support personnel, students, and assistants as per licensure standards.
• Deliver effective rehab services, adhere to care plans, and ensure timely documentation.
• Participate in patient care meetings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make appropriate referrals.
• Adapt care plans based on patient needs, promote safety, and manage supplies and equipment.
• Evaluate patients through interviews and tests, develop treatment goals, and document progress.
• Design and train patients in using adaptive devices, select suitable activities, and monitor progress.
• Perform reexaminations and fulfill additional related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited occupational therapy program.
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid, unencumbered state licensure.
• Willingness to travel and reside temporarily in various locations.
