About the Role
The Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler provides flexible, nationwide travel for 13-week assignments, delivering occupational therapy services in diverse settings. They develop and implement individualized treatment plans to facilitate patient rehabilitation, focusing on restoring, reinforcing, and enhancing functional skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise support personnel, students, and assistants as per licensure standards.
- Deliver effective rehab services, adhere to care plans, and ensure timely documentation.
- Participate in patient care meetings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make appropriate referrals.
- Adapt care plans based on patient needs, promote safety, and manage supplies and equipment.
- Evaluate patients through interviews and tests, develop treatment goals, and document progress.
- Design and train patients in using adaptive devices, select suitable activities, and monitor progress.
- Perform reexaminations and fulfill additional related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid, unencumbered state licensure.
- Willingness to travel and reside temporarily in various locations.
