About the Role
The Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler provides nationwide travel-based occupational therapy services in various settings, organizing and conducting therapy programs to facilitate patient rehabilitation with a focus on restoring and enhancing functional performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise therapy support personnel, students, and licensees as per regulations.
- Deliver effective rehabilitation services, adhere to care plans, and document services promptly.
- Participate in patient care meetings, make interdisciplinary referrals, and adapt plans to individual needs.
- Ensure a safe environment, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain safety standards.
- Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment goals, and perform therapeutic techniques across multiple areas such as mobility, sensory awareness, and activities of daily living.
- Design and train patients in the use of adaptive devices, instruct on functional skills, and monitor progress with routine reexaminations.
- Perform related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program.
- Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid, unencumbered state license.
- Willingness to travel and reside temporarily in various locations.
