About the Role

The Occupational Therapist - Journey Traveler provides nationwide travel-based occupational therapy services in various settings, organizing and conducting therapy programs to facilitate patient rehabilitation with a focus on restoring and enhancing functional performance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise therapy support personnel, students, and licensees as per regulations.
• Deliver effective rehabilitation services, adhere to care plans, and document services promptly.
• Participate in patient care meetings, make interdisciplinary referrals, and adapt plans to individual needs.
• Ensure a safe environment, manage supplies and equipment, and maintain safety standards.
• Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment goals, and perform therapeutic techniques across multiple areas such as mobility, sensory awareness, and activities of daily living.
• Design and train patients in the use of adaptive devices, instruct on functional skills, and monitor progress with routine reexaminations.
• Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy program.
• Initial certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
• Valid, unencumbered state license.
• Willingness to travel and reside temporarily in various locations.
