About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled, rehabilitative, and medically necessary interventions
- Perform standardized assessments and ADL retraining
- Design and implement therapeutic activities
- Document treatment outcomes accurately in electronic systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Supervise therapy assistants and students
- Participate in patient care conferences as needed
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state license
- Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
- BLS certification (may be required)
- Ability to obtain necessary supplies and participate in facility meetings
Skills
- Proficiency in assessments and therapeutic techniques
- Strong documentation skills
- Supervision of therapy assistants and students
- Familiarity with cognitive and ADL-focused interventions (preferred)
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities (preferred)
