About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled, rehabilitative, and medically necessary interventions
  • Perform standardized assessments and ADL retraining
  • Design and implement therapeutic activities
  • Document treatment outcomes accurately in electronic systems
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Supervise therapy assistants and students
  • Participate in patient care conferences as needed

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active state license
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in long-term care or rehabilitation settings
  • BLS certification (may be required)
  • Ability to obtain necessary supplies and participate in facility meetings

Skills

  • Proficiency in assessments and therapeutic techniques
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Supervision of therapy assistants and students
  • Familiarity with cognitive and ADL-focused interventions (preferred)
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities (preferred)
