About the Role
The Occupational Therapist in Home Health assesses and evaluates patients' functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor skills, and home environment to develop and implement appropriate therapy plans. They provide evidence-based interventions within legal scope, collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members, and monitor patient responses to treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services aligned with patient care plans
- Evaluate patient function and develop individualized treatment strategies
- Observe, document, and communicate patient progress and condition changes
- Conduct assessments using diagnostic and prognostic functional tests
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document CMS-required data
- Report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team
Requirements
- Current state licensure in Occupational Therapy
- CPR certification
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation
Skills
- Ability to work effectively in diverse home settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (preferred)
Pay
Compensation ranges from $80,220 to $120,330 annually, including pay per visit and hourly rates.
