About the Role

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in a skilled nursing facility setting, focusing on helping patients improve function and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Develop, assess, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, therapy, and medical staff.
• Supervise and evaluate therapy assistants and students.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including charting and therapy software use.
• Ensure patient safety, rights, and confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.
• Participate in community health projects and uphold compliance with laws and facility policies.
• Assist in patient transfers and demonstrate excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Current NBCOT certification and valid state license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT/MSOT); new graduates welcome.
• CPR certification required, with ongoing compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate professionalism, and work well within a team.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and moving patients.
