About the role

Stellar Therapy Services is hiring an Occupational Therapist to work in a school setting, providing therapy services to children with disabilities and developmental disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of children with disabilities, identifying their unique needs and developing appropriate treatment plans.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans to address the physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges that children face in their daily lives.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, guiding children through exercises and activities that enhance their coordination, motor skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that accommodates the diverse needs of each child.
  • Incorporate assistive technology and adaptive equipment into treatment plans as needed, ensuring that children have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
  • Track and document the progress of each child, assessing their progress towards achieving treatment goals and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities, staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field of occupational therapy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure and/or certification required in the state of practice.
  • Additional experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of the developmental needs of children with disabilities.
