Occupational Therapist - School Based

About the role

The Occupational Therapist role facilitates the development and rehabilitation of students with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities by planning and administering occupational therapy. We Offer Consistent work schedule during school hours. Evidenced Based treatment and care models within a clinically based environment focused on collaboration and treatment teams. Responsibilities

• Provide OT services for students who have the need identified in their Individualized Education Plans.
• Promotes maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual’s physical capacity, intelligence level, and interest.
• Evaluates results of occupational therapy by observing, noting and evaluating students’ progress; recommends and implements adjustments and modifications.
• Consults with teachers, direct care staff, BCBAs, OTs, SLPs, PTs, a nurse and other clinical and leadership staff; contributes to student conferences.

Requirements

• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), licensure by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required and bachelor’s degree required.
• Six months of related field experience required; one year preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Requires ability to work independently.

Qualifications

Pay

$82,000-$93,480 annually (dependent upon experience)
