Job Summary and Qualifications
- Evaluate and treat a wide variety of injuries, diseases and disabilities using Occupational Therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with rules and regulations of this facility, the Occupational Therapy Practice Act, and rules and regulations established by the State of Nevada, Board of Professional Regulations.
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants and rehab technicians.
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Achieve data reflective of the patients’ medical status and age specific needs in order to provide the appropriate care as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
- Provide goal directed treatment program planning, implementation and modification, as well as related documentation and communication for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
- Nevada State Occupational Therapist license
- BCLS certification
- One to two years’ hospital clinical experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
