Occupational Therapist, PRN - OLGOH

About the role

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Director of Occupational Therapy, this role plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy treatment programs based on evaluation and assessment, medical referrals, and patient needs. You will maintain patient care records, evaluate responses to treatment, recommend changes to the treatment plan, participate in in-service and continuing education, assist with special departmental programs, and contribute to clinical education and research.

Responsibilities

• Performs age and diagnosis-appropriate evaluations and treatments
• Maintains patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures
• Attains established productivity levels and conducts professional development, training, and credentialing
• Participates in the education and training of occupational therapy students
• Adapts behavior to specific patient populations

Requirements

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and a current occupational therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is also required.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent judgment and decision-making skills, proficiency with Windows-style applications, and computer skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of patients and diagnoses, and adapt behavior to specific patient populations are required.

Skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to present information clearly and professionally are necessary. Proficiency with various software packages specific to the role and keyboard is required.
