About the role
An Occupational Therapist responsible for planning and delivering therapy services to patients with temporary or permanent disabilities, adhering to professional standards and organizational values.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Implement therapy interventions based on assessments and documented plans.
- Provide ongoing evaluations through observation and record-keeping.
- Identify patient-specific rehabilitation needs and offer appropriate education.
- Demonstrate initiative in professional development and competency enhancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- License from the Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, colleagues, and professionals.
- Ability to work independently, organize multiple tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Moderate physical activity involving climbing, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good visual acuity for patient assessment and data analysis.
- Ability to handle patient contact and exposure to bodily fluids or hazardous materials.
- Ability to react swiftly in emergency situations.
May guide therapy assistants but does not have supervisory duties. Embodies compassion, service excellence, and a commitment to community care.
