About the role

An Occupational Therapist responsible for planning and delivering therapy services to patients with temporary or permanent disabilities, adhering to professional standards and organizational values.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement therapy interventions based on assessments and documented plans.
  • Provide ongoing evaluations through observation and record-keeping.
  • Identify patient-specific rehabilitation needs and offer appropriate education.
  • Demonstrate initiative in professional development and competency enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • License from the Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, colleagues, and professionals.
  • Ability to work independently, organize multiple tasks, and exercise sound judgment.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Moderate physical activity involving climbing, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Good visual acuity for patient assessment and data analysis.
  • Ability to handle patient contact and exposure to bodily fluids or hazardous materials.
  • Ability to react swiftly in emergency situations.

May guide therapy assistants but does not have supervisory duties. Embodies compassion, service excellence, and a commitment to community care.
