About the Role
Provides Occupational Therapy services to patients, caregivers, and facilities, including evaluations, treatment planning, supervision of assistants, and case management, ensuring adherence to professional standards and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conducts screenings and evaluations to assess patients' physical status
- Develops and implements functional, measurable treatment plans
- Maintains accurate therapy records and ensures availability of supplies
- Coordinates patient schedules and documentation for quality and billing
- Participates in meetings and training for staff, residents, and families
- Initiates program development to enhance residents' quality of life
- Ensures safety and compliance with policies, including emergency and infection control procedures
- Contributes to continuous quality improvement and training initiatives
Requirements
- Completed accredited Occupational Therapy program and holds valid licensure
- Effective communication, leadership, and customer relations skills
- Ability to exercise mature judgment and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, stand, and reach throughout shifts
- Knowledge of safety standards and commitment to confidentiality
