About the Role
The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, develops tailored treatment plans, monitors progress, and educates patients to achieve optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients across all age groups and determine appropriate therapy approaches.
- Develop, implement, and modify treatment programs based on patient needs.
- Educate patients on therapy techniques and safety precautions.
- Measure and document patient progress for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy; Master’s preferred.
- Current Florida Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification.
- Knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles, procedures, and equipment.
- Good communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to assess and manage both simple and complex diagnoses.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation and splinting/orthotic fabrication is advantageous.
