Occupational Therapist, PRN, Acute Care Rehab

About the role

Baptist Medical Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist to join their Acute Care Rehab Team in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position that requires coverage for at least 3 Day shifts per month and participation in a weekend coverage rotation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients in an adult acute care setting.
• Provides minimal outpatient care, mainly for neuro patients and upper extremity wounds (job competency training available).
• Works in a team environment with other Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Provides ongoing patient and family education.
• Works with multidisciplinary teams outside of Rehab Services (hospitalists, physician specialists, nursing, and social services).

Requirements

• 1 or more years of Acute Care Occupational Therapist experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy Required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist from FL Department of Health Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required.
