Responsibilities

  • Performs specialized tests such as manual muscle testing, goniometry, and teaches occupational therapy procedures to patients, families, and other healthcare personnel.
  • Conducts both individual and comprehensive evaluations with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Provides written summaries of diagnostic findings to be included in the team's plan.
  • Administers occupational therapy treatment services including neuro-developmental and sensory motor therapy, developmental stimulation, home programming, equipment demonstrations, or other treatment modalities to enhance sensory motor functioning and general developmental status.
  • Documents goals and objectives for therapy as well as the course and progress of interventions with the patient.
  • Participates in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) as needed.
  • Reviews and documents clinical records for quality assurance purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
  • M.A. or Doctorate (accreditation AOTA) preferred.
  • Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the applicable state with current licensure.
  • Active member of AOTA encouraged, but not required.
  • CPR Certification every two years.
  • Valid applicable state driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Experience in performing specialized tests and providing occupational therapy services.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

$49.00 per hour.
