About the role

Join the Acute Care Occupational Therapist Pool/PRN team and make a difference in patients' lives. As a pool/PRN position, you can choose shifts based on availability and hospital needs. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety.
• Provide therapeutic interventions including neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and adaptive equipment training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety at home.
• Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.

Requirements

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) license or eligibility to obtain.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (preferred).
• 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience (preferred).

Location: Mease Countryside Hospital - Safety Harbor, FL. This is a pool/PRN, non-exempt position with varied shift hours, including occasional weekend work.
