About the role
BayCare is searching for an Acute Care Occupational Therapist Pool/PRN at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. The ideal candidate should be passionate about providing outstanding customer service to the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities and limitations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and adaptive equipment training.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety at home.
- Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.
Requirements
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- OT (Occupational Therapy) or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain
- Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy
- PREFERRED 1-year Occupational Therapy
