Occupational Therapist -Per Diem

About the role

We are seeking talented Occupational Therapists to join our therapy department at Select Specialty Hospital, located on the second floor inside Wheeling Hospital. Our hospital provides world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Start strong with an extensive orientation program to ensure a smooth transition into our setting.

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education, and adaptive equipment.
• Serve as a supervisor for certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) and OT and COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens and monitor patients' responses to treatment.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist is required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment is required.
