Occupational Therapist, Per Diem

About the role

This OT per diem position requires 2 weekend shifts per month as well as one holiday per year. Additionally, weekday shifts are available as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve adult patients on acute units of our Level 1 trauma hospital.
• Train into our 21-bed CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility based on interest, experience, and readiness.
• Work with a wide range of diagnoses including general medical, general deconditioning, stroke, brain injury, spinal cord, orthopedic, intensive medical, and cardiac units, and observation units.
• Participate in a thorough on-boarding process and receive mentorship from experienced staff.
• Attend in-services on a variety of topics to enhance clinical experience.
• Opportunity to transition to a full-time position within the hospital.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed in MN as an Occupational Therapist.
• Registered with the Minnesota State Department of Health as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current certification with the National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapy within 6 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar settings or diagnosis preferred.
• Advanced certification and/or licensure to support the position.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

2 weekend shifts per month, yearly holiday rotation, and ability to work additional weekday or weekend shifts as needed.
