Occupational Therapist - Part Time

About the Role

This position involves providing occupational therapy services in senior living environments. The role requires flexibility to work with diverse patient populations and adapt to various treatment settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patients' independence and quality of life.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic interventions and activities.
• Supervise treatment delivered by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) or therapy technicians.
• Instruct patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, safety, and home modifications.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team and family conferences to coordinate care.
• Evaluate and recommend adaptive equipment to enhance patients' functional abilities.
• Document services accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Evaluate patients' rehabilitation potential and set measurable, functional goals.
• Utilize safe treatment techniques and adhere to medical precautions.
• Maintain equipment logs and ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy tools.

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
