About the role

The Occupational Therapist at TriStar Summit Medical Center plays a crucial role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. They manage the complete process of occupational therapeutic care, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide or direct physical therapy to support patients throughout their stay and the continuum of care.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and assess data reflective of the patient's requirements.
  • Achieve patient goals, engage patients, and enhance the patient experience.
  • Assess patients' abilities to learn and incorporate teaching throughout their hospitalization and discharge planning.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care that respects patients' rights and dignity.

Requirements

  • Tennessee Occupational Therapist license required.
  • Graduate of an accredited OT program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.
  • Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements.
  • Assess patients' abilities to learn and incorporate teaching.
  • Deliver compassionate, holistic care.
  • Support patients' rights and dignity.
