PRN Outpatient Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
• Establishes, revises, and evaluates a plan of care that is appropriate to the patient’s needs and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
• Utilizes standard occupational therapy techniques and skills to assist patients in regaining their ability to perform normal activities, self-care, and responsibilities.
• Supervises activities of occupational therapist assistants, students, and other support personnel.
• Maintains complete and up-to-date documentation and files regarding patient condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and interventions.
• Participates in ongoing interdisciplinary assessment of assigned patients.
• Participates as a member of the hospice interdisciplinary team when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
• Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross for Healthcare providers.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Neuro/Ortho areas.
• Lymphedema experience.
• Hand experience.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to assess and treat patients with various conditions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $50.00 to $50.00 per hour, with a minimum hourly rate of $50.00 and a maximum hourly rate of $50.00. The pay range does not include applicable pay practices such as shift differentials or overtime.

Schedule

PRN (as needed) shifts are available, with a preference for Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
