About the role
Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with various health conditions such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patient's needs and physician direction.
- Delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
- Ensure the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities.
- Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, colleagues, and oneself.
- Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of therapy services, and program delivery.
- Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs.
- Participate in discharge planning, including patient and family education, and adaptive equipment provision.
Requirements
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certified BLS (Basic Life Support).
Qualifications
- Experience in occupational therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
