Role Overview The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients of all ages, serving as a professional role model and clinical resource for staff and students. Responsibilities Include Performing patient transfers with assistance, ensuring safety through proper body mechanics.Designing individualized care plans aligned with patient goals, treatment outcomes, and discharge strategies.Adjusting care based on patient response and current evidence.Educating patients, families, caregivers, students, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.Evaluating clinical findings to determine diagnoses and care outcomes.Performing examinations, selecting appropriate methods based on complaints and history.Screening patients to assess therapy needs and effectiveness.Monitoring support personnel, providing feedback, and documenting evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses in EMR.Completing specific treatments such as therapeutic ultrasound and fluidotherapy.Communicating progress and treatment recommendations with referring providers. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with active license in the relevant state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.Ability to perform safe patient transfers and use supporting personnel ethically and legally.Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient education skills.
