Occupational Therapist - OT - OTR - Full Time
About the role
A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT / OTR) position is available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Poughkeepsie, NY.
We have a dynamic therapy team including an experienced Rehab Director. Our interdisciplinary team works collaboratively with all hands on deck. We have a mix of experienced and new therapists working on diverse clinical programs. We have an on-site physiatrist who rounds in rehab. We also have a rehab suite designed to simulate a home environment for our therapists and patients.
The department is situated in a quaint residential area in a historic district of Poughkeepsie. Responsibilities
- Provide daily oversight of rehabilitation services
- Ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility's rehabilitation department
- Provide therapy services to patients
- Offer clinical support, training, and oversight of specialty programs within his/her specific discipline
- Plan and coordinate with other facility therapists in the implementation of programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods, and data
- Administer administrative supervision of therapists in the rehabilitation department
Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
- Experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed

Skills
Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with rehabilitation software are beneficial.
