Occupational Therapist - OT - OTR (Full Time)

The Role

A Full-time Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR) position is available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Horseheads, NY.

Bethany Nursing Home (part of Bethany Village) in Horseheads, NY, is a 122-bed not-for-profit facility offering all levels of care- SNF, ALF, ILF and Independent living cottages and apartments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and effective operations
• Plan and implement rehabilitation programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data
• Provide administrative rehabilitation supervision
• Serve as a rehabilitation staff mentor
• Provide speech therapy services as needed
• Be a licensed speech therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
• Have experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• The ideal candidate will have experience managing a SNF rehabilitation department

Qualifications

• A successful Rehab Director will:
• Ensure efficient and effective operations

• Serve as a rehabilitation staff mentor
• Provide speech therapy services as needed
