Glendive Medical Center | Glendive, Montana Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM | Starting Wage: $37.23+/hour (based on experience and internal equity) Help Patients Regain Independence and Improve Quality of Life Glendive Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. In this role, you'll work with patients of all ages to develop the skills needed for daily living, recovery, and independence. From evaluating functional abilities to creating individualized treatment plans, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. What You'll Do Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of careDesign and deliver treatment programs that improve function, mobility, coordination, strength, and independenceTrain patients in adaptive techniques and the use of assistive devices for daily activitiesRecommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support patient needsFabricate and fit splints, slings, and other adaptive devices as appropriateEvaluate and treat patients with neurological, orthopedic, developmental, and cognitive conditionsConduct home assessments and recommend safety modifications when neededEducate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, energy conservation, joint protection, and safe mobility techniquesMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical recordCollaborate with providers, therapists, families, schools, care facilities, and community partnersSupervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and student learnersParticipate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient support activities Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree or higher in Occupational TherapyCurrent Montana Occupational Therapy licenseCurrent registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) or eligibility for licensureStrong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skillsProficiency with electronic medical record documentation Preferred One year of occupational therapy experienceExperience working in inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, or rural healthcare settings What We're Looking For Passion for helping patients achieve greater independenceStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare teamLeadership skills and the ability to supervise support staff and studentsCreativity in developing individualized treatment approaches Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting patients during treatmentAbility to lift, move, or position patients and therapy equipmentAbility to lift up to 75 pounds as needed Benefits Eligible after 59 days: Medical, Dental, VisionHealthcare Spending AccountsEmployer-paid Life & Disability Eligible After 30 Days 401(k) with employer matchPaid Time Off and Extended Illness LeavePaid float holidays Why Glendive Medical Center?
