Occupational Therapist - OT - OTR (Full time)

A Full-time Occupational Therapist (OT/OTR) position is now available in our sub-acute/skilled nursing rehab department located in Utica, NY. The facility is conveniently located near downtown Utica and has an award-winning rehabilitation team and an experienced rehab director who works well with his team to offer accommodating and convenient hours for his therapists. This is a fast-paced facility that offers both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care caseloads. We are searching for a team-oriented therapist who can add to our ability to provide the best care for our patients and residents.

Requirements

Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting
Work collaboratively with other rehab therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team-working environment
Possess a current Occupational Therapy license or be license eligible to practice in the state employed
Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and have experience with electronic documentation
Demonstrate good attention to detail and timeliness with documentation
Work well with others in a team setting
Be flexible with hours.

Qualifications

Under the direction of a Rehab Director, a successful Rehab Team Leader will:

• Provide daily oversight of rehabilitation services
• Ensure efficient and effective operations of the facility's rehabilitation department
• Provide therapy services to patients
• Provide clinical support, training and oversight of specialty programs within his/her specific discipline
• Plan and coordinate with other facility therapists in the implementation of programs and procedures to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor patient admissions, schedules, MDS assessment periods and data
• Provide administrative supervision of therapists in the rehabilitation department
• Be a licensed Occupational Therapist or license eligible in the state where employed
• Have experience as a treating therapist in the Skilled Nursing Facility setting
