About the role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide outpatient rehabilitation services in an in-home setting for older adults.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in their homes or independent living facilities
- Develop personalized therapy plans
- Promote functional skills to enhance independence
- Supervise support personnel
- Adhere to schedules
- Document patient progress
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Ensure safety and proper equipment use
- Assess, adapt, and implement therapeutic techniques across areas such as mobility, sensory awareness, daily living activities, and fall risk management
- Instruct patients in using adaptive devices
- Modify treatment plans as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in an accredited occupational therapy program
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- A valid license
- Reliable transportation
