About the role

As an Occupational Therapist, you help patients get well. You assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy. You design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence, while addressing the whole patient as an individual. You train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity, collaborate with peers, and make referrals to ensure comprehensive care.

Reporting to the Director of Rehab, you’ll work in a facility-based environment. Powerback values growth and understands the caregiver experience—our CEO is a former staff therapist. We offer paths for advancement and are committed to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized recovery plans.
  • Deliver occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence.
  • Address the whole patient, recognizing their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity.
  • Collaborate with peers and make referrals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Adapt to varied work settings and patient needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards.
  • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license in the state of practice.

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $40.00 - USD $50.00 per hour.

Retention Bonus: USD $20,000.00.

New Grads: Eligible participants in the Power$TART Program receive an additional $50,000 stipend paid over 5 years (eligibility requirements and program terms apply).
