Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care to patients through occupational therapy services, following physician referrals and legal standards.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing patient treatment plans focused on activities of daily living
• Establishing, assessing, and modifying functional goals
• Overseeing and evaluating care provided by OT Assistants, Rehab Aides, and students
• Documenting patient progress accurately and timely
• Utilizing therapy software effectively
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive attitude
• Participating in emergency procedures and ensuring patient safety
• Collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
• Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with policies and regulations

Qualifications And Skills

• NBCOT certification (renewal optional)
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Current state licensure in good standing
• CPR certification (obtained upon hire or during orientation)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Strong communication, reasoning, and judgment skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform job functions including sitting, standing, lifting, and moving

Key Duties

• Follow treatment plans, evaluate and modify patient goals, supervise therapy staff, document care, and ensure safety and confidentiality
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality patient care
