About the Role

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to a diverse patient population in a skilled nursing facility setting. The role involves developing and implementing treatment plans, assessing patient progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and modify occupational treatment plans
  • Establish, assess, and update patient goals
  • Supervise and evaluate therapy staff and students
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation and charting
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and team members to coordinate care
  • Participate in community health initiatives when appropriate
  • Adhere to company policies, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • Oversee therapy sessions and maintain professional standards of care

Qualifications

  • Current NBCOT certification and state licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)

Skills

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and therapy software
  • Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate professionalism
  • Knowledge of legal, safety, and sanitation standards in healthcare
