Occupational Therapist (OT)
About the role
Maria Parham Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. This position is full-time, exempt, and works days at clinic hours. Scheduling is between 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 am - 11:30 am on Fridays. Candidates must possess Lymphedema Specialist experience and hold a Lymphedema certification within six months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' ability to perform daily activities and develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional independence.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using appropriate modalities, educate patients and caregivers on deficits and adaptive techniques, and provide guidance on the selection and use of adaptive equipment to support recovery.
- Document patient progress in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards, monitor and adjust plans of care as needed, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team on treatment goals and discharge planning.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate aspects of care to certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians in accordance with state regulations and professional practice standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Inpatient Rehabilitation, Acute Care, and/or Outpatient setting experience preferred.
- Current state Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification is required.
- Lymphedema certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire) required.
