Responsibilities
- Evaluate a resident’s condition and develop an appropriate occupational rehabilitation plan.
- Help residents improve their mobility.
- Assist residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
- Inform residents what they should anticipate in different stages of their recovery and how they will handle each situation.
- Maintain resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
- Supervise the activities of occupational therapy assistants when required.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by protecting residents and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
- Contribute to inter-disciplinary team efforts in resident care.
Requirements
- Must hold current and active OT license or registration in the state employed.
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
- Completion of orientation required by company policy.
- Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
- Become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
- Occupational Therapy License (Required).
- Ability to commute to Deer Lodge, MT (Required).
