Occupational Therapist (OT)

Role Overview The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy to patients based on physician referrals, adhering to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. They develop and implement treatment plans, set measurable goals, and oversee therapy sessions, including supervising assistants and students. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, utilizing therapy software, and ensuring excellent patient service. The OT collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, communicates effectively, and demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. They also participate in community health initiatives and ensure safety and compliance. Physical demands include mobility and manual tasks. The role requires current licensure, NBCOT certification, and preferably one year of experience, with new grads encouraged to apply. Qualifications & Skills Licensed and registered in applicable state, with active licensureNCOT certification (renewal optional)Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT)Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and emailStrong communication, judgment, and teamwork skillsCPR certification (or obtained during orientation)Ability to make independent decisions and demonstrate good body mechanics Key Duties Follow individualized treatment plans for patientsAssess, modify, and evaluate therapy goals and progressSupervise and evaluate therapy staff and studentsEnsure timely and accurate documentationEngage positively with patients and support team collaborationMaintain safety, confidentiality, and compliance with policiesParticipate in community health projects as appropriate
