Responsibilities

• Evaluate student needs and develop customized therapy plans
• Deliver occupational therapy services to promote independence and academic success
• Support students’ skills in fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living activities
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Follow professional standards and comply with legal employment requirements
• Adhere to school-based therapy practices and IEP processes

Requirements

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of practice
• At least 1 year of professional OT experience (preferred)
• Current CPR certification
• TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray)
• Current health certificate, per state or contract requirements
• Willingness to work in the Kent, WA school district starting 8/26/2026

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (e.g., Master’s or Doctorate)
• Prior experience in educational or pediatric environments (preferred)

Skills

• Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and IEP processes
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and teams
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting (nice to have)
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills (nice to have)
• Advanced training in sensory integration or other specialized therapy techniques (nice to have)
