Occupational Therapist OT - Acute Care

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide comprehensive therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and explain findings to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
• Apply treatment protocols based on assessment results and modify care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document patient progress accurately, including discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Maintain effective time management and productivity standards.
• Provide patient-centered care with empathy and professionalism.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and training.
• Serve as a clinical instructor and assist in onboarding new staff and students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia as required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
