Occupational Therapist - MHCAH (PV)
About the Role
The Occupational Therapist - MHCAH (PV) organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activity. This role treats persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability, or the aging process to achieve optimum functioning, prevent disability, and maintain health.
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs.
- Apply purposeful, goal-directed activities in treatment.
- Treat individuals impaired by physical illness, injury, emotional disorders, disabilities, or aging to achieve optimum functioning.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program.
- Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist or compliance with the state practice act.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Current valid Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
Qualifications
- One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system, or outpatient Occupational Therapy department preferred.
Pay
The flat rate for this role is $37.50 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
