Occupational Therapist - Inpatient - Per Diem

About the role

Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a Per Diem inpatient Occupational Therapist to join our team. This position organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs within the acute care hospital setting, administering physician prescribed occupational therapy programs to restore and maximize function and prevent disability following disease or injury. The Occupational Therapist will oversee all activities related to Occupational Therapy services and serve as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team committed to providing the highest quality of patient care. This position will have the ability to cover two or more of the department's units (acute care, outpatient, TCU, and/or ARU).

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs within the acute care hospital setting
• Administer physician prescribed occupational therapy programs to restore and maximize function and prevent disability following disease or injury
• Oversee all activities related to Occupational Therapy services
• Serve as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team committed to providing the highest quality of patient care
• Cover two or more of the department's units (acute care, outpatient, TCU, and/or ARU)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's degree preferred)
• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of PA
• BCLS certification required
• Two years of inpatient occupational therapy experience required

Schedule

• Part time, per diem
• Day Shift - 7.5 hr shifts
• Minimum of two weekend shifts per month (7.5 hr shift)
• Two holidays per year
• Both weekday and weekend availability preferred
