Occupational Therapist - Inpatient/Outpatient

About the role

The Occupational Therapist at Memorial Hospital is responsible for organizing and conducting prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs to treat individuals with various impairments. This role works with both inpatient and outpatient populations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement occupational therapy programs tailored to meet patient needs.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.

Requirements

• Graduate from an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program.
• Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a suitable vehicle for work purposes.
• One year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital, long-term care, home care, or outpatient setting.

• Ability to assess and address functional limitations in patients.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology relevant to occupational therapy.
