Responsibilities
- Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patients' needs, focusing on improving cognitive, fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to establish personalized treatment goals and plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to select appropriate occupational therapy treatments for each patient.
- Serve as a patient advocate by modeling standards of performance and addressing patients' needs for service.
- Routinely monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to facilitate continued progress and maintain functional gains at home and in external settings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Rhode Island licensure.
- Certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
