About the role
Occupational Therapists provide personalized, in-home rehabilitative therapy to help patients recover from surgeries, illnesses, or accidents, promoting healing within their communities. They assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, and adjust care based on evolving requirements, working independently as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Deliver tailored therapy sessions in patients' homes or care facilities.
- Monitor patient progress and modify care plans accordingly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of occupational therapy experience or successful completion of a probationary period as a rehab intern.
- Licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
- Valid driver's license required outside Manhattan.
Pay
Pay range per visit varies by location, with rates up to $100 for weekend visits in certain areas. Annual salary range between USD $85,000 and USD $106,300.
